Course mapping helps institutions determine how programs at two institutions may connect academically.

We assist in comparing curricula, course content, learning outcomes, credit values, sequencing and prerequisites to identify potential equivalencies and progression opportunities. This work can support the development of credit-transfer arrangements, articulation agreements, advanced-standing pathways and dual credential programs.

All final academic equivalencies, transfer credits and admission decisions remain subject to the institution’s academic policies and approval processes.

Cohort programs provide institutions with a structured way to expand international enrolment around identified program capacity.

Where an institution has the ability to offer an additional section, designated intake or targeted program offering, Canadian Immigration Centre can help develop and recruit an international student cohort for that opportunity. A cohort can be aligned with a selected program, intake, geographic market or institutional partnership.

A cohort strategy can help institutions:

The institution retains full control over admissions decisions, academic delivery and program requirements.

International recruitment does not always have to begin in Year 1.

Through course mapping and structured advanced-standing pathways, students who have completed compatible prior studies may be considered for admission into a later year of an existing program, subject to the institution’s academic assessment and admission policies.

For example, a student who has completed two years of compatible undergraduate study at a partner institution may, where the required academic equivalencies are established, be considered for entry into Year 3 of a four-year degree.

Advanced-year pathways can help institutions:

All advanced-standing, transfer-credit and admission decisions remain with the receiving institution.
